Graduation season is upon us and it’s time for a little gift inspiration for the recent college graduates in our lives. Cash is always appreciated, but graduations are a great time to give a practical gift someone might not buy for themselves. It’s important to celebrate all that graduates have accomplished, but also make sure they are well prepared for their future.

Here are the top 5 gifts graduates may not realize they need in their lives.

1. Professional workbag

This is a must for a recent college grad entering the professional workforce for the first time. Whether you choose a tote, briefcase or backpack be sure it’s spacious enough for a laptop and durable enough to hold up to the wear and tear of the day to day hustle and bustle. You might consider keeping to a professional neutral color palette when selecting your bag as well.

2. French press

A French press is the perfect gift for the coffee addict in your life. French press coffee is a bit more time consuming to make but gives you a much higher quality and luxurious cup of coffee than what you would get from an instant coffee pod. French press coffee is the perfect way to unwind on the weekends after a busy workweek.

3. Planner

Planners are a key item to keeping any busy working professional on schedule. Life is busy and picking the right planner can make all the difference. Try looking for planners with a goal planning section and a to-do list for increased productivity.
