Editorial Policy

HawkEye Media is an independent, student-run publication produced at Harrisburg Community College District.  All content is written and produced by students. The editorial staff is solely responsible for all content and editorial policies. Content contained in HawkEye Media does not reflect the views of any campus, the College District, or the Board of Trustees.

Letters to the Editor Policy

HawkEye Media welcomes Letters to the Editor. Timely, well-written opinions on topics of interest by HACC students and faculty are given first priority for publication.

The Editor reserves the right to edit or reject letters that contain libelous statements, hate language, or for clarity, brevity, good taste, and accuracy. All submissions become the property of HawkEye Media and cannot be returned (if sent by mail).

Please limit submissions to 300 words. Submissions are due each week by Sunday at 5 p.m.

Writers must include full first and last name, address, year in school or position at the university (if applicable) and a phone number. Contact information will not be published. Anonymous submissions automatically will be rejected.

Opinions expressed in letters, columns, or commentaries are solely the opinion of the author and not necessarily the opinion of the staff of HawkEye Media or HACC.
